Founded in 2001 by Tim O’Malley and Mike Magnusson, Ateema Media & Marketing has a rich history rooted in the dynamic world of Chicago journalism. Tim and Mike first crossed paths while competing for their inaugural job at the Chicago Tribune after college. They not only secured positions but also forged a lasting friendship and enjoyed award-winning careers. During their tenure at the Tribune, they often discussed their shared vision of one day launching a business together.
Originally established as O'Malley-Magnusson Publishing Group, LLC, our company quickly gained acclaim with the launch of "Concierge Preferred Magazine" and the successful debut of the Hospitality & Tourism Summit. As our portfolio grew to encompass digital and event-oriented services, we rebranded to Ateema Media & Marketing.
